Autism - From Denial to Hope
Cure Autism Now's CEO Peter Bell was recently invited to write an editorial on the history of autism for Behavorial Healthcare, a publication for mental health professionals. Bell titled his retrospective "Autism--From Denial to Hope" and gave an overview on the research community and society-at-large's perspective on autism since the 1940s. Describing the ages of denial, defeat and hope, Bell offers an account of how we got where we are today and highlights the important steps that still need to be taken for this generation of affected individuals.
