Autism Speaks Partners with Jim Brickman
Grammy nominated pianist and composer Jim Brickman is donating a portion of proceeds from the sale of his new cookbook and holiday CD to Autism Speaks. For each cookbook and CD purchased together, Jim will donate $7.50. Brickman's interest in autism was inspired by the many letters he received from educators and parents telling him of the positive effect that his music had on their children. He then discovered that autism touched children close to his home and
heart, including family and friends of his staff. His first involvement with Autism Speaks was as a participant at the inaugural Cleveland Walk Now for Autism event held in September.
Brickman's new holiday CD “Homecoming” contains holiday favorites as well as soon-to-be classic tunes such as “I'm Coming Home for Christmas” sung by Richie McDonald (lead singer of Lonestar), “I Heard The Bells” (featuring Anne Cochran & Peter White), and a very special holiday performance of “My Angel” by the late Gerald Levert. “WELCOME HOME: Favorite Recipes to Come Home To” is a collection of 400 favorite family recipes from across the country.
