Team Autism Speaks to Run
2007 ING New York City Marathon

Team Autism Speaks, 53 runners from thirteen states and two from Canada, will participate in the ING NYC Marathon 2007 on Sunday, November 4. The marathon starts in Staten Island on the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and goes through each of the five boroughs, ending at Tavern on the Green in Central Park.

Autism Speaks was chosen as one of 22 charity partners to participate in the ING NYC Marathon 2007. This is the second year that the ING NYC Marathon is working with local charities in addition to the two official charity partners and the first year that Autism Speaks applied and was selected for entry positions. Evan Farmer, from TLC's “While You Were Out,” will be running as part of Team Autism Speaks to help promote autism awareness. Autism Speaks is delighted to have been chosen as a charity partner for the NYC Marathon, which has between 37,000 – 38,000 finishers.

Autism Speaks will have cheering stations at designated locations in each of the boroughs to encourage Team Autism Speaks runners – if you are interested in volunteering to help out in any way on Race Day or please email NYCWalk@autismspeaks.org.
