Autism Speaks Announces $3.6M in Grants Focusing on Environmental Factors and Autism
|
|
|
Autism Speaks has awarded $3.6 million over the next three years to 12 new studies focusing on environmental factors in autism. In doing so, Autism Speaks furthers its commitment to funding innovative projects that focus attention on potential environmental contributions to autism spectrum disorders. The projects range in approach and scope, but include areas of toxicology, immunology, epigenetics, and animal models. Read more about the announcement

Walk, Ride and Party in Vegas with Autism Speaks

More than 5,000 people are expected in Las Vegas for the inaugural Autism Speaks Weekend taking place on October 11-12. Attendees will enjoy a Walk Now for Autism event, an ING Direct Ride Now event and a pool party at the famous Hard Rock Hotel.

Boston Red Sox Host Autism Awareness Night
|

|
On September 9, the Boston Red Sox hosted an Autism Awareness Night at Fenway Park, continuing an eight year tradition of supporting the Greater Boston Walk Now for Autism. A group of top fundraisers and Walk committee members were recognized in a pre-game ceremony on the field, during which Red Sox players Tim Wakefield and Alex Cora presented a $5,000 check to Autism Speaks.
