IAN Reaches Landmark Number
In only one month the Interactive Autism Network (IAN) – the first national online autism registry, spearheaded by the Kennedy Krieger Institute and funded by Autism Speaks – has registered an unprecedented 13,000 individuals and families living with autism. Autism: The Musical Premieres to Rave Reviews
Autism: The Musical, an intimate look at the lives of several families whose children are autistic, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. The film follows these children over the course of six months, as they create, prepare and then perform a live musical play on stage. Read more.
Guiding Light Brings Awareness Message to Daytime TV
The CBS daytime drama "Guiding Light" is showing its support for autism awareness. This week, characters on the show began wearing the Autism Speaks blue puzzle piece pin. Each week more characters will wear the pin leading up to a storyline which will involve autism awareness and Autism Speaks.
