Congress Spotlights Autism; Key Bill in Pa.; View Video
On Tuesday, the “Expanding the Promise of Individuals with Autism Act” was introduced in the House of Representatives. The same day, the Senate heard testimony from Autism Speaks Co-founder Bob Wright (shown at near right, with actor Brad Whitford), urging full funding for the 2006 Combating Autism Act. Still Time to Support Autism Speaks at Toys "R" Us
Toys 'R Us logo Visit www.Toysrus.com/AutismSpeaks or your local Toys "R" Us store before May 4 to make a donation to Autism Speaks. As part of April's Autism Awareness Month, Toys "R" Us and the Toys "R" Us Children's Fund have launched a nationwide fundraising campaign to support autism research, awareness and advocacy efforts. U.S. Soldiers in Iraq Run for Autism Speaks
Show your support for our troops serving in Iraq by supporting their 5K run for Autism Speaks. On Sunday, April 29, Air Force men and women of the 438th Air Expeditionary Group Top 5 Organization, currently deployed in the western deserts of the Anbar Province in Iraq, will support Autism Speaks by holding the 2007 Autism Awareness 5K Fun Run on Al Asad Air Base, Iraq.
