Autism Awareness Month Highlights Announced
During National Autism Awareness Month in April, Autism Speaks will focus on a series of national initiatives and special events, from the launch of a new public service advertising campaign to partnerships with some of the nation's largest retailers, from festival screenings of the documentary "Autism Every Day" to new database and video services for families. Toni Braxton Named National Celebrity Spokesperson
Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Toni Braxton -- the mother of two children, one of whom was recently diagnosed with autism -- has been named a national celebrity spokesperson for Autism Speaks. In her first official appearance in her new role, Braxton will perform at A Concert for Autism Speaks Featuring Bill Cosby and Toni Braxton, a star-filled night of comedy and music, on April 9 in New York City.
