Sandbox Learning Lending Library Links
Many states have non-profit foundations which support the lending of resources. These resources range from extensive libraries of sensory integration toys, augmentative communication devices, and games or puzzles designed for individuals with disabilities to simple software or low tech devices. Professionals, and in many states parents, are able to ‘check out’ a device online and have it delivered to their home or visit designated centers to borrow items. Since many devices and toys for children with disabilities are very expensive, these programs are an excellent way for people to test augmentative communication devices or adaptive materials before purchasing them.
