The Safe Signals project, a video role modeling skills kit for parents and high-functioning young adults with ASDS, aims to reduce the incidence of accidental injury. the program teaches behaviors that will help individuals with ASDS to avoid dangerous situations in the home. the grant will help develop the Safe Signal kit and workbook, which contains a safety skills DVD for young adults with ASDS, as well as a workbook that takes a room-by-room approach to safety, awareness, and prevention. the kit will be translated into Spanish and Somali and distributed to these populations as well.
