This project will address the serious shortage of quality childcare for children with autism in underserved areas of rural Kansas by providing training based on the Training Modules for Inclusive Child Care (TMICC). the traini • Communication Delayng modules will include a series of classes covering five topics: • Introduction to Inclusive Child Care for Children with Autism • Supporting Children with Challenging Behavior • Sensory Processing Disorders • Autism and Parent Partnering the TMICC curriculum has been developed by Easter Seals with input from 53 Early Childhood Specialists from across the nation as well as external reviewers with extensive expertise in behavior and autism. the modules are evidence-based and user-friendly. Each module focuses on a particular content area and provides classroom strategies and resources to promote inclusion and education of young children with special needs such as autism.
