Chuck Wilcox, father of nine-year-old Ryan and six-year-old Tyler of Kernersville, N.C. writes: "My sons (Ryan and Tyler) and their friends raised $505 with their “First Annual Heely-A-Thon” event, honoring their cousins who have autism. The kids had a good time and worked hard on a cold day – we were very proud of them all and they were quite proud of themselves. On New Year's Day, they made a sign and we did a little dedication at the beginning. Each child proceeded to ride somewhere between 75 and 100 laps around our cul-de-sac – a short route, but more work than you might imagine – take it from an old timer! They enjoyed hot chocolate and other refreshments, and had the chance to feel great about helping those with autism."

Ryan and Tyler Wilcox creatively raised over $505 for Autism Speaks. Do you know a child under twelve, who has raised money for Autism Speaks? Please e-mail editors@autismspeaks.org; we'd love to share your story!
