On August 4, 2008, Autism Speaks and Bank of America announced an expanded partnership that will give consumers a new way to support autism advocacy and research.
Under the new agreement, the two organizations will offer an Autism Speaks Visa® credit card and personal checking account at more than 6,100 Bank of America banking centers and on the Autism Speaks Web site. In addition, CDs and IRAs will be offered at special rates. For each new branded credit card account opened and used, Autism Speaks receives a minimum of $1, and a minimum of 25 cents for every $100 in purchases made with the card. renewal of the card. For each new checking account and/or debit card opened, Autism Speaks will receive $10 and an additional $5 on each annual anniversary of the account opening as long as the account maintains a minimum $50 balance. Autism Speaks will also receive .10 cents for every $100 in purchases made with the Autism Speaks branded debit card. Card users can show their passion for autism advocacy every time they make a transaction using the Autism Speaks products.
