The 3rd Annual North Shore Walk Now for Autism Speaks took place on Sunday, April 28th at the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe, Illinois. Under the leadership of the Savitz Family (Spencer, Tyler, Amy and Stuart) over 2,500 walkers made up of 101 teams and 40 volunteers joined us for the 2.5 mile loop around the Garden.  At days end, the North Shore Walk had raised over $208,000!

The Tampa Walk Now for Autism Speaks held its 8th Annual Event on April 20 at Raymond James Stadium and is expected to raise more than $310,000!  An amazing crowd of nearly 8,000 families and friends joined together to celebrate this incredible day for fundraising and awareness.

On Sunday, April 20, the Lehigh Valley came together to celebrate the 2013 Walk Now for Autism Speaks at the new location of Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom.  Record crowds arrived for a chilly Walk start.  Almost 400 teams have raised approximately $375,000 to date and still counting.  Excitement was felt as the teams entered into the park.

The 8th annual North Bay Walk Now for Autism Speaks occurred Saturday, April 13th at Windsor Town Green.  It was an absolutely beautiful spring day with just over 1,500 attendees.  To date, we have raised $77,533 but we won't stop till we get to our goal of $135,000 or above!

On Sunday, April 7,  Miami celebrated the 2013 Walk Now for Autism Speaks at JC Bermudez Park, in the City of Doral. It was the most successful Walk to date with over 26,000 walkers and we raised over $650,000 and counting.

After seeing first-hand the struggles Autism brings on children and families, I walk!

I have been an avid Autism Speaks supporter for five years. I fundraise year-round by gathering support for a fundraiser I started called Ridin’ Hawg Wild in Lexington NC. This all began in 2009 when I started researching ways to fund Autism research. Why you ask? My son, Sammy, was diagnosed with Autism at age four.
