There was and is so much amazing stuff going on throughout the month of April to celebrate Autism Awareness. Here's a by no means exhaustive photo round up of some of the ways that YOU, our community, showed the love and went blue to raise awareness!
You wore blue
Kings Park School District on Long Island went BLUE with the help of Spectrum Designs, a t-shirt company that employs people on the spectrum! See the whole slide show here.
Your cars went blue
Corey Wolfe, husband of Jessica Wolfe from the blog Courage and Coffee decided this year to paint his silver Suburau Forester Blue. It took him 50 hours to complete and he dedicated this project to one of the greatest blessings in his life...his son ethan who's on the autism spectrum. You can see the photos from the start to finish of this project here.
Then you washed the blue off!
The West Norriton Autowash held a car wash fundraiser to celebrate and support a family that has been coming to the car wash for years.
From their Light It Up Blue Page "Six years ago, a Mother, with her autistic 18 month old son, came to the auto wash with an autism therapist, asking to ride through in hopes it would help with the childs sensory development with sound. The child was hesitant to be anywhere that sound was louder than average and the idea was to have him ride through somewhere he may find interesting and fun, adjusting to the sound accidentally by means of distraction. The plan worked for this child and to this day, this family continues to ride through the wash."

Monster Trucks even went blue
