Sen. Menendez, Autism Speaks' Peter Bell Discuss CDC Study During Nutley Visit
NUTLEY (April 6, 2012) -- U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) said the recent autism prevalence study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was an "eyeopener," noting that the numbers for New Jersey were even higher at 1 in 49 and 1 in 29 boys. Autism Speaks Executive Vice President for Programs and Services Peter Bell called for a national plan to address autism and urged Menendez to rally Congress against any cuts to federal funding.
