Insurance Reform Law Takes Effect
DOVER (December 11, 2012) -- Delaware's new autism insurance reform law takes effect today, requiring autism coverage under all state-regulated plans issued or renewed starting today. Signed into law August 13, 2012 by Governor Jack Markell, the new law requires private health insurance plans to cover the diagnosis, testing and treatment of autism spectrum disorders for children and young adults up to age 21.
To help familiarize families, providers and other stakeholders with the new law, Autism Delaware is hosting webinars December 12 and 19 at 6 pm. To learn more, go here.
